CEC Course FAQ

This course is approved for continuing education through multiple professional organizations. After completing the course material and passing the final exam with a score of 80% or higher, you’ll receive documentation of successful course completion.

  • For NCPT-approved courses, you submit your completion documentation directly to the Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher, along with their required processing fee, to receive your official CEC credit.

  • For NASM- and AFAA-approved courses, your Certificate of Completion serves as documentation of earned credits, with no additional submission or processing fee required.

Specific credit details are clearly outlined on each course page so you know exactly what to expect before enrolling.

No additional payment is required for your course to be considered by NCPT, NASM, or ATAA — this course is accepted by those associations. However, to receive the final official certificate or approval from each organization you will need to pay that organization’s certification/administrative fee directly. In short: the course fee covers eligibility/consideration, but the issuing body’s final certificate requires a separate payment.

The NCPT fee is $80 because NCPT has granted a special discounted rate; the other allied certifications charge the standard $95 fee.

NASM and ATAA operate as allied modalities under the same organizational umbrella, so their continuing education approvals share branding.

NCPT (sometimes mistakenly written as NAPT) is an entirely separate organization and is not affiliated with NASM or ATAA.

After you pass you will receive:

  • A Certificate of Completion.
  • 8 Continuing Education Credits (CECs) for NCPT.
  • 1.8 CECs (equivalent to 18 credits) for NASM/ATAA.

You must present these documents and credits to the appropriate certifying board when applying for their final approval or certification.

Yes. You may complete the course and exam on your own schedule. Once purchased, your VitalSource eBook is yours to keep.

Continuing education credits are issued by the approving organization, based on successful course completion:

  • NCPT issues official CECs after documentation is submitted and processed.

  • NASM and AFAA recognize credits through the Certificate of Completion issued upon passing the final exam.
